LDS Blog Train - April 2012 - Forget Me Not

Here is my portion of this fun blog train kit.  I didn't have a ton of time, so it's small, but hopefully you'll find it useful.  If you haven't read the talk that this kit was inspired by, then you should definitely take the time.  It's one of my favorites!

Here's a preview of the full kit:

Here's a preview of my part.  You can click on the image to download it from my own site.

You're almost finished with the blog train!  Your next stop on the train is Little Bit Shoppe.  And here's the full list of designers - just in case you get lost along the way. : )

Retiring - Farewell and Thank You!

It is with a heavy heart that I announce my retirement from digiscrap designing. I have LOVED sharing my artistic creations and seeing the gorgeous layouts you have created with my kits. I'll still participate in blog trains and charity collabs, so please check back occasionally for some fun freebies. In fact, I have a little freebie farewell gift for you today. It's called Spunky Punk. My daughter was my inspiration for this one. She just turned 12 and is the sweetest little punk I know. My store at 3 Scrapateers is open through the end of the month, but as you know, Inspiration Lane closed last month. I love designing scrap kits, but my heart just kept getting broken when I made a home somewhere and then it was closed. I just don't have the heart to apply to another store. So, for now I will be a full-time mom and wife. I'm sure my family will be glad for that! I will miss you all so keep in touch! Farewell, dear friends!

One last Hurrah!

Well, with Inspiration Lane closing this month I was ready to throw in the towel on designing. It's so hard to make a home somewhere on the web and then have it close. It's heartbreaking! Anyway, I decided that before I officially retired, I would give designing one last chance in the ScrapMatters Design Star contest. So, yesterday was the beginning of round 1. You can see all the contestant entries in the gallery at ScrapMatters. By clicking on an image, you can see links to download each mini kit. It's a great way to get a free mega kit, if you're looking for a fun freebie!

The first round is confidential, so I can't say which designer I am (it's between 32 and 34). LOL I would love it if you'd go check it out, leave a comment, and download the freebie. The current SM design team is doing the voting, so no pressure there. I just want to make sure somebody looks at my entry! LOL

I doubt I'll get very far in the contest as the competition is fierce, but I'm going to have fun doing it and then I'll probably retire from designing - at least for profit. I will still contribute to charity kits and blog trains just for fun. Thank you to all my loyal customers. It's been a pleasure getting to know you! Thank you for being a part of my life. :)

LDS Blog Train - The Greatest Gift

Welcome, LDS train riders! Happy holidays. I hope you and your family is safe and happy this season. We've had a lot of illness around here. 'Tis the season, I suppose! :) Well, it's also the season for celebrating our Savior's birth, which means trying to serve and love our fellow man a little more. So, I hope that this little blog train kit will help remind you of Jesus and all that He's done for us. God bless you, dear friends and Merry Christmas!

Click on the individual preview below to download my portion and then click on the next designer's name beneath that to continue on your way. Have fun!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Printable Holiday Gifts

Whew! I've been working my tushie off to finish making some 2011 calendars for the grandparents this year. I wanted to make something really special that my parents can't buy for themselves. I spent so much time and liked the finished project so much that I decided to sell the set to my customers and hopefully save them some time and money this Christmas! I also made a set of holiday cards that turned out pretty cute - if I do say so myself. ;) All you have to do to print these beautiful projects is drop in your photo, add any journaling touches and print! I made everything the right size to print from a home printer if you want, or get them professionally printed for that extra polished look. I also need to tell you that I just discovered a fabulous website for printing digital scrapbooking layouts! Their quality is unsurpassed and their prices are excellent. They are even running a special right now for the holidays. If you order by December 15, you can get 10% off with a special coupon code: holidaycard. Click on the ad below to go to their website and check out their terrific selection and prices. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season. And happy Digital Scrapbooking Day!

Two New Kits and a Fab Weekly Download

I have an alpha and two new kits out this week as well as a fun weekly download for you to check out this month at Inspiration Lane. My first kit is a mini for Halloween called Boo!. It's just the right price at this expensive time of year! The best part is, if you like those little trick-or-treaters, you can get a coordinating little guy in the weekly download at Inspiration Lane along with some other terrific goodies from the other designers at IL. Check it out by clicking on the preview below. I have also created a little tag freebie for you that goes along with this kit.

My new alpha is an embossed acrylic alpha that will go with just about any layout. I even created a layout with it that you can see down below. If you like this alpha, it also comes in the Seasons Collection which is my other kit released this week. :) There is the Seasons kit, the Thanksgiving Add-On and the coordinating grungy paper pack. Take a look at the previews. I hope you are all having a wonderful fall season and that you're holidays are full of sweetness! ;)
